Paparazzi

If you don't recognize the person in the photo above, I am not going to tell you. Suffice it to say, we were attending the downtown gallery stroll Friday night and snapped this prize-winning photo. For saying how disdainful they were of this person, Mike and Tyler sure wanted to talk about his presence a lot! Especially about 1) the number of people following him around and 2) what they thought of his personality.

Ahh, Easter

We had a smaller gathering of people over for Easter this year. Bob and Lisa took their kids to Orem to Lisa's parents'. The Robison's are too far across the country for a weekend visit. And Peter and Anita were not available. That means that we were several children low. So we didn't break out every egg for filling - just part of them.

Krista and Sydney Fowkes played it cool on the lawn most of the day.

Tyler, Patrick and Julian Fowkes did most of the egg hiding. It was Patrick's first year at the hiding part.

And this is just a really cute picture of Drew and Rachel Heath. Drew didn't really want to search for eggs - he wanted to help Rachel. Rachel was obsessed wth following Olie araound - she even got to hold the cat a couple of times. Olie was very patient!

Things in Motion

Mike is happy again - the weather has cleared up and he has a new scooter to ride. He picked it up on Saturday and has already ridden it to work Monday and Tuesday. He tried to ride to Park City today, but the surface streets are still closed. He is not a fan of freeway driving on a scooter. Which all for the best. I know Krista is anticipating being picked up from school. But first Mike needs to get saddle boxes to keep helmets and stuff in.

If you look very carefully, you can see our old freezer in the back of this well-stocked truck. As an experiment, Mike decided to put the old freezer (the dead one, remember) out on the sidewalk for neighborhood cleanup. It didn't take more than two hours before this truck drove up - already very full. We kept quiet in the house, because we didn't want to scare them away - we wanted to get rid of the freezer. It was kind
of fun to watch them maneuver everything to fit it in. But I just couldn't resist trying to snap a photo!

Frozen in Time!

What is this, you say? Why is Krista in a box? Has she been kicked out of the house? Have we down-sized? No -- scroll on down and have a peek at our Wednesday night fun!Well, not my Wednesday night fun. I was at a presentation by a blind guy who climbed Mount Everest. I am attending a two day conference in the Salt Palace. When I was done, I decided to walk home instead of calling for a ride. Good thing, too. Because this scene was awaiting me!
At some point recently - today maybe - our freezer, which was already in the house when we bought it - died a timely death. Mike and Tyler wrestled it outside and dumped it here. Then they headed over to Sears to buy a new one. Too bad the freezer didn't die during the friends and family super sale on Sunday, huh?!
So, I as I arrived home, I saw the front door open and wondered where everyone was - and came into this - Mike was just removing the back door and the he and Tyler wrestled the new freezer in.
I don't have a really good picture of the carnage inside, you get the idea. Everything has been transferred to the new freezer - well almost everything - and life goes on!
