Chow Time

So, for those who might not remember, I was called to be the Chairman of the Activities in our ward. Last week we had our annual chili cookoff. Only 6 people signed up to bring chili, but we ended up with about 14 pots - how's that for a nice surprise. We didn't set out bowls at first - instead we only set out little cups - so that everyone could try every chili, if that was what they wanted to do. Paige, who is one of our adult judges, took her job very seriously. She labeled every cup to help her make her decisions.
Not only the adults took things seriously, however. Since we had a People's choice award, even some of the childen lined up their cups and did their judging.

I love this activity, because it is very low key and casual. Since we are the last people in the building on Sundays this year, our next activity is a linger longer - its on Mother's Day, so I think we may do something a little fancier.
